Biography Text: Dr. Silvia La Rosa received her dental degree from CES University in Medellin, Colombia, and her post-graduate degree in periodontics from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. She served as president of the Pierce County Dental Society from 2016 -2017, where she was a member of the board of trustees and then an executive member participating in multiple committees. Currently, she serves as a member of the board of trustees for the Pierce County Dental Foundation. Silvia became a fellow of the American College of Dentists (ACD) for her contribution to the advancement of dentistry in her community and the high standards of care she provides. Always striving to serve her patients better and improve clinical outcomes, Silvia has incorporated dynamic surgical navigation in her practice since 2017. She is a key opinion leader and a master clinician in this field, co-author a chapter on it, and has lectured nationally and internationally on the topic. Silvia is an active member of the Dynamic Navigation Society. She is a speaker at DentalXP and the Seattle Study Club. Dr. Silvia La Rosa is in private practice with Dr. Manuel La Rosa, both in Tacoma and Gig Harbor, Washington. Together they combine and treat all aspects of Periodontal, Oral Maxillofacial Surgery, dental implants, pathology, aesthetics, and anesthesia.
