Biography Text: Yousuf Al-Aboosi, DDS, MS, is a board-certified periodontist and implant surgeon who earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Dentistry. While attending Virginia Commonwealth University, Dr. Al-Aboosi was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. Dr. Al-Aboosi completed his Certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he served as Chief Resident. He simultaneously earned a Certificate in Periodontics at the Birmingham Veterans Affairs Medical Center, graduating from both programs in 2019. Dr Al-Aboosi is the 2019 recipient of the Dr. and Mrs. Gerald M. Kramer Scholar Award for Excellence from the American Academy of Periodontology Foundation. He currently maintains a private practice limited to Periodontics in the Rockville, Maryland, which serves the greater Washington, DC, metro area.
