Biography Text: Dr. Palaiologou Gallis, ABP President, grew up in Athens, Greece, where she received her DDS Degree in 1995. She completed a Certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science Degree at Louisiana State University in 2000, with a full scholarship from Greece. Dr. Palaiologou Gallis practiced solo in Athens, Greece, for seven years before returning to LSU to pursue a career in academics in 2007. She received ABP certification in 2007 and served as the Graduate Program Director at LSU from 2009 - 2018. She currently serves as a tenured professor and the Graduate Program Director at UT Health San Antonio. Dr. Palaiologou Gallis has a long and distinguished service in leadership positions at the AAP and has served an ABP Examiner since 2013. She has received multiple awards and honors from the AAP, ADEA, and academic institutions.
