Biography Text: Dr. Flavia Q. Pirih is a professor, the Tarrson Family Endowed Chair in Periodontics and the Regenerative and Reconstructive Sciences Division Chair at the UCLA School of Dentistry. After receiving her dental degree at Universidade Federal do Parana, she received a PhD in Oral Biology from UCLA. Upon graduation, Dr. Pirih completed residency in Periodontics from the University of Michigan. Dr. Pirih is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a Fellow of the American College of Dentists. Dr. Pirih’s greatest strength is the passion she has for Periodontology and academia. She brings in hard work and determination towards increasing the academic community’s understanding of Periodontology and disseminating that knowledge to others.
