Biography Text: Leena Palomo, DDS, MSD, is Professor & Chair of the Ashman Department of Periodontology and Implant Dentistry, New York University College of Dentistry. A board certified periodontist, she serves as American Board of Periodontology, Director as well as an examine; she also serves as a Council on Dental Accreditation/ADA site visitor for advanced periodontics training programs. Dr. Palomo aggressively advocates for Periodontology and Oral Health in the media and in policy making. Dr Palomo earned her undergraduate as well as DDS and MSD degrees from Case Western Reserve. Her work focuses on sophisticated cases involving innovative intervention and maintains a private practice external to any university. She has served as a consultant for FDA clinical trials, lectures nationally and internationally and has published over 100 articles, abstracts and chapters.
