Precision orthodontics and new dimensions in surgically facilitated orthodontics using digital technology: The intersection of Science and Technology.
Piezocision-assisted-orthodontics is used by the orthodontists to revisit old orthodontic concepts and create a paradigm shift through control of a differential anchorage. This presentation will address:
• Correction of vertical problem with alveolar deficiencies.
• Transverse issues in the adult patient.
• Alveolar changes in cases of alveolar insufficiencies (i.e. Posterior Open Bites).
• Dramatic distalization in challenging Class II cases will be discussed and illustrated using novel treatment algorithms.
• Navigated Dynamic Piezocision with phenotype modification in association with clear aligners will be illustrated.
• Integration into a multidisciplinary treatment protocol with space redistribution for more effective restoration treatment will be discussed as well as the possible use of robotic implant surgery.
• Understand Patient centric care.
• Integrate Piezocision assisted orthodontics in daily practice understanding its potential and limitations.
• Communicate effectively with orthodontists to help them successfully treat challenging cases using a patient centered approach.
This presentation aims to reassess the significance of accelerated tooth movement from the perspectives of orthodontists and periodontists based on interdisciplinary clinical experience spanning approximately 20 years. The focus is on reconsidering the surgical aspects of accelerated tooth movement.
• Understand the methods of accelerated tooth movement.
• Learn the indications for surgical accelerated tooth movement.
• Understand the perspectives of orthodontists and periodontists on accelerated tooth movement.
